The Management Team
Mr. Andrew Boado, MBM Founder and Managing Partner
At McMatthise, he became the Consultant to various Bhutanese, Hong Kong, and Singaporean firms. Some of his notable clients were the Bhutan Telco, Bhutan Ministry of Finance, Bhutan National Bank, the Duty Free, Bhutan Broadcasting Station, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment, and the Bhutan Trust Fund. Prior to McMatthise, he was Consultant and Manager in Globe Telecom where he was responsible for the development of various Telco Value Added Services. He has done projects with the Fixed Network and the Mobile Communications Group. Prior to Globe Telecom, He has been consultant to Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Intel Manufacturing, Asiaworld, Fort Bonifacio Development Corp., and various technology startup companies. In his early days, he has been an active developer of technology companies such as International Networking Technologies, Inc., WinWeb, Inc., Health Card Technologies Management Company, Inc., and MedIT, Inc. Also in his early days, he has worked in the Trust Banking Group of Metrobank. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the De La Salle University (Dean’s List) and a Master in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management (Dean’s List). He is a recipient of the renowned Globe Management Development Program (Year 2000). He is also a trained auditor on ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management Systems) from the Anglo Japanese American Registrars (AJA) – United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
Mr. Juan "Nonoy" B. Tingson, Jr. Partner
Mr. Tingson is currently the Managing Director of McMatthise Institute, Inc. and the Asia Pacific Business Process Outsourcing, Inc. He also heads the Asia Pacific Call Center Career Development Office. Mr. Tingson started his career with San Miguel Corporation. He then moved to become the Area Manager of a multinational corporation focused on agriculture. He then went on serving in the various government institutions. His stint in the government includes Credit Administration, Cooperative Supervision, and the Administration of the Department of Agrarian Reform in Region XI. With his stint in the government, he has garnered five (5) civil service eligibilities. Being an active organizer and promoter of various developmental projects, Mr. Tingson was accorded the Most Outstanding Chapter President of the Philippine Jaycees. Also, his Chapter became the Most Outstanding Chapter during his stewardship. He was also accorded as the Most Outstanding Jaycee in 1982 in the Philippine Jaycees Zamboanga Convention. As to international recognition, his leadership was accorded with the ‘Most Outstanding New Chapter of the World Award’ during the Belgium World Convention. To top it all up, Mr. Tingson is a Council and active leader in the Banal Na Pag-aaral (BNP), a worldwide Catholic apostolate movement conducting retreats and propagating Marian devotion. Mr. Tingson holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Major in Accounting from the Ateneo de Davao. He spends most of his time counseling people of all ages— ensuring that people understand what their purpose in life really is and where true happiness is attained.
Engelbert P. Gutierrez, MBM Limited Liability Partner / Investor
Mr. Engelbert P. Gutierrez, or Engel to many, is a successful businessman, investor, and professional. He is currently a Partner in McMatthise Co., Ltd. as well as the owner of Easy Go Printing House and Easy Go Instant Copy Enterprise. He has investments in various technological and computer services companies. His ventures provide services in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Laguna, Baguio, and Davao. He also provides services to clients in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Norway, and the United States. Among his clients are the Amezcua Wellness Center, Asian Spirit, Banana Leaf Curry House, Bayanihan, Brothers Burger, CanAsia Traders, Chaikofi, Coca-Cola, De La Salle University, Enderun Colleges, Fumaco, Goodyear, Info-Alchemy, PhilKoie International, Royal Norwegian Seafood, Sognefjord Gourmet, and Wide Wide World Express. As a Professional and Management Consultant, Mr. Gutierrez worked in various large and multinational companies. He devised a strategy for the expansion plan of Medicine Shoppe in the Philippines. Medicine Shoppe is the largest drugstore chain in the world. Also, he was responsible for the growth of Boehringer Mannheim, the 2nd largest diagnostics chain in the world with presence in Metro Manila and Palawan areas. In his early years, he was a successful and multi-awarded Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Manila Doctors Hospital, one of the country’s premier medical institutions. Mr. Gutierrez, after succeeding in the medical science profession, has ventured into various technological and pioneering companies. His business success can be attributed to his effort of integrating MBA learning, professional experience in sales, quality control & assurance exposure in the nuclear laboratory field, entrepreneurial ventures in the Computer Services sector, and the prowess of the printing industry. He is a graduate of the Master in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management and a Registered Medical Technologist from the University of Santo Tomas.
Mrs. Antonietta S. Boado Limited Liability Partner / Investor
Mrs. Boado is one of the major investors in the Group, bringing to the group various financial and other resources. The access to the various resources has enabled the Group to grow and create more value not just financially but also sociologically. She is the Chairman and Chief Executive of the mother company, Filipinas Kalayaan Overseas Shipping, Inc. (Filipinas Kalayaan). For the past 20 years, Mrs. Boado has been the Corporate Treasurer of Filipinas Kalayaan. She is also a Director in McMatthise Institute, Inc. and a Partner in McMatthise Co., Ltd. She has been an active investor in various technology companies such as the International Networking Technologies, Inc. and the Winweb Technlogies, Inc. Mrs. Boado has been a Vice President of the Kiwanis Club of Makati where she was responsible to various social projects in the different parts of the country. Also, as a pioneering member of the Conference of Maritime Manning Agencies (COMMA), she has contributed to the success and stability of the country’s maritime manning industry. Successful as she is, she spends most of her time advising people of all generations. She shares with them her life’s experiences and encourages them to live their lives following the purpose on what we should all live for - that is to serve God with all our mind, heart, and spirit. Mrs. Boado has taken Accounting from the Philippine College of Commerce. Her nearly 40 years of experience in various business endeavors is providing immeasurable guidance and support to the Group.
Ms. Katherine S. Boado Partner
She currently sits as a Director in Asia Pacific Business Process Outsourcing, Inc., a Director in McMatthise Institute, Inc., and concurrently the Head of the Administration and Finance Department of the MyloanCenter System. Ms. Boado has served in all the major strategic business units of the Group. From her stint in Filipinas Kalayaan, she headed also the marketing in the IT venture company called International Networking Technologies, Inc. After managing this company, she was tasked to head the operations of the International Training and Consulting division of McMatthise Consulting Services. From there, she was tasked to handle various other ventures of the Group. With the formation of MyloanCenter services and with over two years of managing the alliances with the financial institutions, she is then tasked to handle Administration and Finance Department of the Myloan Center System. Ms. Boado has taken various certificate courses from the Ateneo de Manila University. She also finished Bachelor of Science major in Marketing Management from the University of the East.
